Year 3 History
Having looked at the character of Henry VIII last week, our focus for this week has been on the six wives of the Tudor king. The children all now know the outcome for each wife, reciting the famous rhyme word perfect. We have produced a storyboard comic, showing the story of Henry VIII and his six wives.
We have also looked at the style of portraits that could be found in Tudor Britain.
“Dark backgrounds were used to show how important a person was,” Jasper told us.
We are going to use a similar style for our own self-portraits!
