Year 5

As part of our science topic of air and gasses, we have been researching how much air can be found in different types of soil. We have learnt that this is important as the amount of air contained in a soil can have a direct effect on plant growth.

The children are greatly looking forward to our trip to the nearby Peckham cinema next week as part of National Schools Film Week. Although this will no doubt be an opportunity to relax after such a hard working start to the term, the screening of Oliver Twist will also provide the perfect opportunity to introduce our next class topic of Life in Victorian Britain.
