Year 6 Science Video
Our science sessions in Year 6 have involved carrying out experiments to find out the ideal conditions for a solid to dissolve. The children wanted to find out if the temperature of a liquid is related to the speed in which a solid can dissolve.
We devised our own class experiment, timing how long it took for sugar to fully dissolve in cups of water of varying temperatures. We wrote down a prediction in our science books first, and then tested our hypothesis. Each group had a thermometer and a stopwatch to record the results.
You can find out if our predictions were proven to be scientifically correct by watching the short video above.
