Reception Science Video

The Reception children has an amazing time on their class trip to the Science Museum this week. We returned to class inspired by what we had seen, and so we decided to make some rocket mice! The rocket launcher is made out of an empty plastic bottle, and the mice are made out of paper. We learnt that we could launch our mice into space by placing them on the top of the rocket, and then squeezing them hard. This forces the air inside the bottle to propel the mice upwards. You can watch a brief video of the Reception children launching their rocket mice above. Other activities that we examined at the Science Museum included a look at a water garden. We observed a series of boats passing through the water slide. The children had great fun hoisting beanbags aboard different boats.
