Literacy lessons in Year 1 have focussed on work around the famous Reward and Punishment poem. Having read the poem together in class, the children really liked the use of descriptive words to help us think of a picture in our minds. We decided to write our own version of Reward and Punishment. Working in small groups, we produced a selection of shared writings, using sentences to describe what we will do if our friends are either good or bad. We used our ICT time to type up these poems and make them presentable. You can listen to one of our group of young poets read out their version of Reward and Punishment in the podcast below.
