Year 6 greatly enjoyed their visit tot he Royal Marine Reserve in Bermondsey, as part of the Southwark Junior Citizenship Scheme. The morning was made up of a series of workshops, aimed to help our Year 6 make the transition to secondary schools next year as smooth as possible.
A number of different organisations were on hand to give practical advice to our pupils. These included the Met Police, TfL, the London Fire Brigade, and Stranger Danger. Our pupils left the workshop with plenty of wise words of advice, plus a goody bag each! You can hear the thoughts on the scheme from a couple of our young students in the podcast below.
