The Nursery children had a splendid day out this week at the wonderful Surrey Docks Farm. We have been learning about animal growth, and so this was the perfect opportunity for the children to see how different types of animals look after their young, and how animal growth is very similar to our own. Nursery was given a guided tour all around the farm. We recognised many of the animals, and were able to identify the sounds that they were making. The children had a tremendous time feeding some of the animals on the farm. We returned to Michael Faraday, inspired by our trip and keen to paint some pictures of what we have seen.
We would also like to take this opportunity to invite any parents who have connections throughout the school to come into the Nursery and offer some help with a particular skill that you may have. We are interested in any artistic, musical, gardening, cooking or craft skills – anything that you feel will be of interest to the children! If you would like to spend some time in the Nursery, please come and see Kelly, our class teacher, either at the start or the end of the day.
