Performance poetry has been keeping Year 3 busy and entertained this week. We have been writing our own poems, based on the sights and sounds that we can hear each day in the school playground. Year 3 realised that a lot of our observations were sound based, and so we decided to add in various voice and instrumental effects into our work.
The children explored how they can use repetition, echo, whispers, solo performances and duets, to help add an extra dimension to their work. We built up our poem sounds cape, and concluded by performing our poems with the full effects.
