Year 1 had a brilliant day out this week with a trip to the nearby Tate Britain art gallery. We have been looking at different sculptures in class, and learning about how they are different to more traditional paintings. The Tate Britain was the perfect location for Year 1 to look at many of the Henry Moore originals. We have been researching the famous artist in class, and finding out more about his most famous pieces of work. Year 1 have been getting incredibly creative themselves, producing a series of sculptures, using clay, plasticine and straws. You can catch up on the Tate Britain trip in the podcast below.
