We took the Nursery children out this week to the nearby Burgess Park, to help find out more about our local area, as well as to have some fun playing some park games. With our forthcoming trip to London Zoo approaching, this was also the ideal opportunity for the younger members of our school community to remember how we need to be sensible when out with our friends in a public place. Burgess Park was beautiful, and all the children had great fun playing some games on the grass.
Our trip to the Zoo later in the month will include a visit to the recently opened Rain Forest exhibition. As we will be traveling by bus, the Nursery children have been making their own model busses this week. We had some wonderful support from one of the parents who kindly gave up her time to help us out. Using re-cycled milk cartons and plenty of paint, the Nursery children have now all made their busses to brighten up the Nursery.
