Much preparation has gone into the new term ahead in Year 2 at Michael Faraday School. Our wonderful staff have been busy preparing all the resources that we need to help the children with their final year of study in Key Stage 1. As well providing our pupils with the skills and knowledge that they will need to progress to Key Stage 2, we also promise to have plenty of fun!
Our work in Year 2 will involve a cross curricula approach to learning. With topics such as the rain forest and the Great Fire of London, we will be able to use literacy, drama and artwork to help us with our understanding of these themes. We are already planning a trip to a Synagogue to help the children learn more about the Jewish faith. There is also the possibility of Florence Nightingale visiting the children in Year 2, to tell them all about her historic life! You can find out more about the year ahead in the podcast below.
