Year 5 Rivers Topic
Year 5 will be learning all about rivers throughout the autumn term. This will be a cross curricula approach, taking in elements of science, literacy and D & T. Our science angle will be to explore the changing state of different matters, and how condensation and evaporation are vital elements in the water cycle. Year 5 will be writing some water inspired poetry during literacy lessons. Our rivers topic will also include a trip to the Thames Water Barrier, as well as exploring the geography around the South Bank of the Thames.
