Having returned from a highly successful class trip to the Museum of Childhood, Year 1 have been continuing their work comparing and contrasting old and new toys. We got to see at first hand within the museum many of the splendid toys that different generations have played with.
Back in the classroom and the children have been carrying out a detailed study of an old an a new teddy bear. In particular, we have asked Year 1 to consider the different materials that have been used to make the two bears. We have described how the materials feel, and then considered which bears we would like to play with.
