This has been a great settling in first week for our two new Year 2 classes at Michael Faraday. Following the six week break, we wanted a reminder as to who we all are, and how we can work together with our friends to have a happy year. Each pupil has produced a self-portrait, thinking in great detail about how we are all different.
The curriculum ahead promises to be exciting, as well as challenging. Much of our literacy work will be based around our current class book, Misery Moo. We will be asking the children to explore different emotions that are in the text.
Our maths work will start off with an analysis of different shapes. Our science topic for this term is healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle. As part of our religious studies work, we are currently planning a Year 2 trip to the splendid West London synagogue.
