The 2016 Michael Faraday Winter Concerts were once again one of the annual highlights in our school calendar year. Early Years and Key Stage 1 children staged their own special show, with the Key Stage 2 pupils then putting on their performance the following day.
Many weeks of preparation and rehearsals have gone into both performances. The aim was to provide a contemporary winter celebration mixed in with some traditional seasonal songs.
The end result was two show that showcased some of the incredible creative talent that we are able to boast at Michael Faraday School. As well as singing performances from each class, the Key Stage 2 show also included amazing contributions from Zoe’s Dance Club, Brass Band, Joanna’s School Choir, the Ukulele Club and the regular recorder sessions that we stage at our school.
Head Teacher Karen Fowler praised all pupils at the end of each performance. It was explained how we are proud of the many different opportunities that we are able to present the pupils with at our school.
Karen commented on how staff throughout the whole school have put in an extra amount of effort and time to make the shows possible. Special praise must be given to Class Teacher Joanna, the musical producer for our Winter Concerts.
We would also like to thanks the parents and carers who were able to spare their time to come along and support the pupils. We wish everyone associated with Michael Faraday School a happy and peaceful holiday.
We are proud to share a selection of videos below from the Key Stage 2 concert.
