Year 2 have started a new class topic exploring different world habitats. Four main environments are being studied: the artic, oceans, deserts and rain forests.
This learning will involve looking at which animals live in each environment. The children will research why some habitats are suitable to some animals, but not to others.
Our early work involved each class member choosing one of the habitats. We read a little around the subject, and then produced a picture in our science books. A short written description of what we can find in the habitat then followed.
Our habitat work will continue with learning how animals adapt to survive in a habitat.
