Year 4 have approached their weekly Friday morning philosophy sessions with great maturity. We welcome Lea into our class each week to help with a discussion exploring some complex life issues.
A stimulus is often used to help the conversations. A recent session involved the pupils considering ideas contained in the Beegu book. This tells the story of an alien who lands on earth.
Year 4 took part in a discussion looking at how Beegu was treated compared to humans. This led to a wider discussion about animal rights compared to human rights. Others ideas developed, covering friendship, family and love.
You can listen to a selection of the Year 4children describe more about their work in the recording below.
