The Nursery children are very excited ahead of our trip to the Unicorn Theatre. We will be enjoying a production of Seesaw. This tells the story of a young girl who enjoys playing in the sand. Sadly she has no friends to play with.
We have been helping the children prepare for the theatre trip with our own drama sessions. The Nursery children have been pretending that we are playing on the beach and are building some sand castles.
The children have been asked to think about what the dry sand might feel like. We then add some imaginary water. The children are asked to describe what the sand might feel like now.
Elsewhere in the Nursery and we have been thinking about patterns and shapes. The children have created their own patterns using the colourful resources that we have in our play space.
