Year 2 Research The Great Fire of London

Year 2 have been fascinated by our new class topic of the Great Fire of London. The pupils have been researching how the fire started in Pudding Lane and quickly spread. We have been reading many different reference books to help build up a picture of the events.

This knowledge was then used as part of our ICT learning. The pupils used the school laptops to put together a short presentation.

The software Purple Mash was ideal for this. It helped the children to add pictures to their words so that they could describe what took place during the Great Fire of London.

This learning also helped the Year 2 pupils to feel confident using the school laptops. We are working hard on improving our keyboard skills. The final presentations will from a display in our classrooms.
