The Year 3 pupils have had plenty of fun with some practical science learning. Our light and shadow topic led the pupils to investigate how light travels. We have seen how light moves in a straight line.
A light maze was set up within our science groups. This involved using a torch as a light source that had to navigate around the obstacle of books. Mirrors were used to reflect the light and help it to change direction. The task was to shine the light around the maze and on to a plastic pot.
We soon found that teamwork was key here. The Year 3 pupils needed to position their mirrors in the correct place to plot the change of course using straight lines. This route out of the light maze was then plotted in our science books.
