Year 6 Celebrate End of a Successful SATS Week

The Year 6 students are celebrating having finished their SATS exams. Class teachers Rebecca and Leanne are very proud in the mature manner that the pupils approached SATS week.

We made sure that everyone felt confident and relaxed ahead of the tests each morning. A SATS breakfast club took place at 8:30am every day. This was an opportunity to eat some healthy food and to stock up on some energy for the work to follow.

Six exams were taken in total over a four day period. These covered grammar, spelling, reading, arithmetic and two maths reasoning papers. The next stage is for the exams to be marked externally.

Year 6 celebrated the completion of SATS weeks with some drama. We are going to ease into preparing for the end of year school play. A story and script have been agreed upon. We are keeping this closely under wraps for now.

There will also be a trip to Legoland to thank the Year 6 pupils for all the hard work they have put into their SATS exams. The students are also looking forward to their end of year School Journey with a week away together in Bournemouth.
