Year 6 have competed their first week of rehearsals for the end of year play. The pupils will be performing a production called What a Knight. We don’t want to give away too many spoilers. The plot is a mixture of Medieval meets modern times…
Auditions have taken place so that the many talents in Year 6 can be used. Plenty of singing and acting is involved. Two performances will take place on 16 July – one at 2pm and one at 6pm. This allows all pupils to play a significant part.
Recent rehearsals have involved the actors getting to grips with their lines and practising of the group singing. The play also includes some solo singing performances.
Class teachers Leanne and Rebecca have asked the pupils to practice the songs at home. We have a password protected page where the songs can be played over here. Tickets details for parents and carers will be made available shortly.
Elsewhere in Year 6 and the pupils will soon be going on the annual School Journey. This is a celebratory trip for the students to enjoy their friendships together before moving on from Michael Faraday School.
Both classes will be heading down to Bournemouth for the week. Many activities are planned. These include a visit to Corfe Castle, looking around Oceanarium and a trip to Monkey World. There will also be the annual Year 6 Quiz, the end of trip disco plus regular room inspections!
