A selection of hard-working Michael Faraday students recently took part in a sailing session at Surrey Docks. This was part of the Festival of Sport taking place in London. The pupils were selected as a reward for their hard work during the past school year.
We spoke with out instructors at the start of the session about the importance of safety on the water. Life jackets were worn to help keep us extra safe.
It was a very warm day but we were also lucky with the wind. This helped the pupils to be able to propel their boats along.
Some of the students made amazing progress with their sailing skills. They were invited towards the end of the session to sail solo with adult supervision nearby.
