Reception Children Prepare for Key Stage 1 Transition

The Reception children are looking forward to making the move to Key Stage 1 in September. We have been spending some time with our new Year 1 teachers. The children have chosen their favourite stories to be shared.

We have also found the time to observe the beautiful butterflies that we have in the Reception classroom. We have been caring for them since they were young caterpillars. The children have seen how the life cycle has changed. We released these into the open on the last day of teaching.

An end of term picnic also took place at Faraday Gardens. The children baked some cakes to take along and enjoy with our friends.

Finally we had the Reception end of term party. The children enjoyed playing pass the parcel, musical statues and musical bumps. Many thanks to the parents and carers who were able to provide a fantastic choice of food.
