We are very pleased to report that Michael Faraday School was successful in the recent Southwark Council Beat the Street game. This is an initiative that involved tapping in to some set points around the borough using a special fob key.
Our pupils have been very active in tapping in. We came second in the category for the total number of points, and third in the average points category.
Some of the pupils joined PE Co-ordinator Kelly at an award ceremony to collect our prizes. Madam Mayor Cllr Catherine Rose presented our pupils with some framed certificates. We also picked up £300 worth of vouchers for school sports equipment!
Forty-five outdoor locations were put in place around Southwark. The main aim was to get people to explore their borough and to be active and fit outdoors during a seven week period.
