Fantastic Faraday Summer Fair 2019!

The 2019 Michael Faraday Summer Fair was another fantastic occasion for our school community. Our school playground was taken over by a large number of parents and pupils, all keen to raise some money to help the Friends of Faraday.

Many stalls and activities were set up during the afternoon by our dedicated support staff. The cake sale proved to be very popular. The cupcakes and freshly made lemonade soon sold out!

The book stall offered pupils the chance to pick up some summer reading bargains. Some great raffle prizes meant that many tickets were sold throughout the afternoon.

Brisk business took place on the coconut shy! Pupils had three chances to knock a coconut off a cone with a beanbag. By the end of the afternoon all the coconut prizes were claimed.

Face painting proved to be as popular as ever. The theme for this summer was flags from around the world. It was great to see many children displaying a St George’s cross alongside a flag from their home countries.

Finally the Friends of Faraday Craft Stall offered pupils a place to enjoy some art in a quiet setting. The bubble paintings kept many children entertained.

We would like to thank all staff and the Friends of Faraday for helping to make the Summer Fair another success. Thank you as well to the many parents and carers who came out to support our school community.
