The Reception children have been learning about the different adults within our community that are available to give us help. We talked about situations where we might need adult help, such as when we aren’t feeling very well, or perhaps when we want to learn something new.
We greatly enjoyed a visit into our classroom from a local police officer, who kindly gave up his time to talk to the children about how he can help them in the community. We were able to try on different parts of the police uniform, as well as ask questions about the job of a police officer.
After the half term break, the Reception children will be heading out into the local area to look at the shops that are around us.
