We are extremely proud to announce that once again, the annual Michael Faraday Winter Fair was a fantastic success! The whole school community worked together to stage a winter treat for the children. Highlights included trips to Santa’s Grotto, a tempting cake stall and the grand raffle at the end of the afternoon.
The Winter Fair is now a permanent fixture on the Michael Faraday calendar. All money raised is spent on buying extra resources to use around the school. We have used the money from previous fairs to boost our ICT and PE resources. The success of the Fair wouldn’t be possible without the kind help from all staff and family and friends of the school, who kindly volunteer their time.
With the Festive season now officially upon us, we look forward to welcoming family and friends of the school into our community, as another term comes to a close. Upcoming events include the Christmas Concert at St Peter’s Church on the 10th December at 2pm and 6pm, and Christmas lunch on 16th December.
We would like to remind everyone that teaching will finish for the year on Friday 18th December. We wish all within the school community a wonderful Festive break. The new school term will start on Tuesday 5th January 2010, at 9am prompt!
