Year 6 Rangoli Art

Year 6

Our R.E. work in Year 6 has included a look at the belief systems of people that worship the Hindu faith. We have been finding out how symbolism and artwork plays an important role in the Hindu religion. The children have been researching the significance of Rangoli patterns in the faith. These are symmetrical images that are usually placed at the front of houses. They are there to welcome people into our homes, and are used especially during Hindu festivals such as Dilwali.
