Year 5 staged the most amazing Chinese New Year assembly for the other children in Key Stage 2 this week. We have spent the first half of this term researching as many facts as we can about the history and culture of China. We started off our assembly by sharing these. Each child explained more about the information that we have learnt. We put together a Power Point presentation to help us with our work.
The children then acted out a couple of traditional Chinese Buddhist tales. We asked the other children in the school to try and think what the message in each tale was trying to tell us. Our Year 5 assembly finished off with the staging of the Dragon’s Pearl, a traditional Chinese play.
