Following on from our fantastic Year 3 Eco assembly last week, the children have been putting the theory into practise by building some bird feeding tables! One of the ideas that we put across during our assembly is the importance of feeding the birds during this cold weather snap.
Phil very kindly helped the children to build their bird tables. We read the instructions carefully, and then assembled the different tools that we would need for the task. After our bird tables had been built, we then wrote out our own list of instructions and diagrams so that we can follow these in the future.
“If we are kind to birds and other animals, this might help us to become an even better eco school,” Tyler told us. “We have made our own books, all about endangered animals. My book contains information on tigers, African elephants, gorillas, polar bears and Australian koala bears.”
