National School Status for Michael Faraday

National School Status

Our Head Teacher Karen has been selected by the National College to become a National Leader of Education. In the latest recruitment round, Karen has become one of only 51 Head Teachers across the country to be appointed to the role of a NLE – a growing group of Heads identified by the National College to drive school improvements.

This appointment also sees Michael Faraday achieve National School Status. This essentially means that our whole school community is seen as an example nationally in how to achieve outstanding educational obtainment. All staff can be called upon to offer their skilled guidance on how to continue to improve education standards.

We are thrilled that Karen is committed to remain at Michael Faraday. Her new role allows her to become an acting executive Head Teacher at any struggling school that will benefit from her support

Toby Salt, Deputy Chief Executive of the National College, said:

“It is fantastic that outstanding school leaders like Karen are becoming National Leaders of Education. Many schools in the scheme see improvements in exam results.”

I used to attend this school and my mother, Georgina Jeffs was a big part of the PTA. Karen may remember me and my family and so may many of the other teachers.

I am glad to see that the school is reaching the level of prestige and excellence that it has always been destined for, and will surely continue shaping plenty of young minds into respectable adolescents.

It would be amazing to hear from all my teachers at Michael Faraday, and I hope you’re all well and enjoying teaching at such an excellent school.
