Year 6 have been working incredibly hard on their SATS papers throughout the week. Maths, literacy and science have been the three main subject areas. Our pupils have been preparing for these for some time now, and so we all approached SATS week feeling confident. A special SATS breakfast club was available for all pupils, providing an extra boost of energy ahead of the working day. A selection of our Year 6 pupils explain more about their SATS experience in the podcast below.
With SATS now finished at Michael Faraday, Year 6 can now start planning for the remaining work in their final term at the school. The school journey will be upon us soon, and then it will be time for the annual Year 6 play, one of the highlights in the Michael Faraday school calendar.
We have started to discuss within class possible productions that we would like to perform. The pupils have been thinking about what our individual and collective strengths are, as well as choosing a play that has a musical element to it. The final decision will be made with a class vote. Work will then start on writing the script, and then auditions will be underway. Good luck for the weeks ahead!
