We have started to look at aeroplanes as part of our transport theme in the Michael Faraday Nursery. The children have been thinking about why you might want to travel on a plane, rather than use a car, a train or a boat for a journey. We have been learning about how aeroplanes can sometimes be the quickest form of transport. Using pipe cleaners and paper, the Nursery children have made their own planes to play with. We have themed this in with the World Cup, designing the wings on our planes with the flags of our home country, or our favourite football team. The Nursery children have also made up their own aeroplane song! You can listen to our wonderful work in the short podcast below.
