Much of our maths work in Year 3 has been all about looking at patterns of symmetry. We introduced the topic by asking the children to look at a series of different shape. Using mirrors, we were about to see where a line of symmetry appears. We then developed these themes to take into our Year 3 drama sessions. We paired up with a partner, and then took it in turns to create a stationary position. The job of our partners was to copy the move, and then to find where they needed to be positioned in order to become a symmetrical image.
