Year 3 presented an assembly to the rest of the school this week, explaining all about the research that we have been carrying out about the Red Cross. We looked at the history and role of the organisation, and in particular, how the Red Cross can help out in times of disaster or war.
We prepared for our assembly by using the internet to research recent situations where the Red Cross has helped out. We also looked at the organisation around the world, explaining more about the Red Crescent, the Muslim part of the worldwide organisation.
All pupils in Year 3 prepared their own Red Cross assembly poster to display in the assembly. We asked them to think about how we can put across the message about the work that the Red Cross carries out. You can find out more about our assembly in the podcast below.
