Our pupils returned to Michael Faraday School after the Whitsun break to find that our brand new playground has now been officially opened! This marks the completion of our new school building and provides all pupils with an amazing safe place in which to play.
Much like the interior of the school building itself, the playground is themed into different zones. These give the children different experiences during their playtime. We were keen to include as much plant life as possible. Trees were specially sourced to add a long-term education value to the project.
All pupils now have a safe sports zone area in which to play. We will be able to use this space extensively during our outdoor PE sessions. Further outdoor equipment is currently being looked at to include in the playground.
We would like to thank all of our pupils for being so patient whistle waiting for the completion of their new playground. Any visiting family or friend of the school is of course welcome to have a look around and see what has been created. We look forward to hopefully seeing many of you in our new outdoor space at either Sports Day or the end of year Summer Fair!
