Year 1 Snow Poems

Year 1

Year 1 have been preparing for the wintry months ahead by writing some wonderful snow poems. We have had plenty of help for this task from our new class friend – Sid the Snowman! We started off our work by thinking about various wintry themes. Working in small groups, we asked he children to come up with as many snow themed words that they could. We encouraged Year 1 to think about adjectives that can describe how it feels during the winter months. To keep up the frosty feel, we also ate an ice-lolly, just to make sure that we could come up with as many wintry words as possible! You can listen to one of the Year 1 wintry poems being read out below.
