We have been planning and putting together a newspaper report in Year 3. We induced the pupils to the different parts that go towards making a newspaper. We thought about the headline, the story, the pictures and the picture caption. Year 3 decided that it would be a great idea to produce a full size Michael Faraday newspaper. We came up with the storyline of a giant space creature landing in Australia, that then tried to eat everyone up. We encouraged the pupils to think about the style of the headline and how we could catch the attention of the reader. The children have also drawn a series of pictures to add into our newspaper.
Year 3 have also welcomed a very guest into our class, as well as sharing some work. Dick is a Head Teacher from Germany. He is visiting Michael Faraday for a two week period to find out more about schools and teaching in the UK. He is the Head Teacher at the school where Jasmine, our previous German guest, also works.
Dick will be spending some time across each year group throughout his stay here at Michael Faraday. The children will have the opportunity to ask him about how his German school might be different to Michael Faraday, as well as to share the outstanding work that we produce at our school. This visit is part of the UK German Link.
