The Nursery children at Michael Faraday have been learning all about alliteration during our literacy lessons. This is way of writing that uses a combination of letters at the start of each word, to give our work the WOW factor!
To help us with this new way of working, we have been having great fun reading our current class book, Billy’s Bucket. This is a piece of text that has many great examples of alliteration. We have been asking the children to try and find as many of these possible. We have also started to make up some sentences involving alliteration and our own names.
This work is the perfect introduction for our first stage of phonics work in the Michael Faraday Nursery. It helps the children to recognise different sounds, and then start to group these together.
