Year 6 returned from Bournemouth after an incredibly successful, tiring and sometimes very, very funny School Journey. This is always one of the highlights in the Michael Faraday calendar. We reward the pupils for all of the hard work that has been achieved by taking them away to a fun resort for the entire week.
2012 was no different with an activity-based week away in Bournemouth. We stayed at the Mansfield Hotel in Bournemouth and were treated to excellent resources and conditions.
Our first major session was spent at the nearby Oceania, looking at some of the amazing sights on display. Tuesday was spent at Poole Quay, as well as taking the ferry across to a nearby island to try and find some red squirrels.
Wednesday was all about Monkey World – tremendous fun! The Great Ape play area was one of the highlights for the whole week. We visited Corfe Castle on Thursday, and then finished off the Year 6 School Journey with the traditional disco on the final night.
An incredibly successful week, with all pupils enjoying themselves with great maturity. Many, many thanks to our staff who gave up a week of their own time to make all of this possible. We are happy to share a selection of the photos from the School Journey below, as well as a brief audio catch up.
