We LOVE music so much at Michael Faraday that some of our pupils would rather be creative than be outside playing during their lunch break! We have a strong tradition of teaching and encouraging all pupils in playing the ukulele. This is an instrument that is accessible at all levels, as well as being perfect for the pupils to pick up chord structure and technique.
Weekly tuition takes place, as well as the occasional random ukulele performance during the school lunch break! We were so uplifted to hear a couple of our Year 5 girls making great use of their own time, we decided to record the occasion. The video above features the girls playing a contemporary song that they have researched themselves, both lyrics and chords.
