We have been delighted in the way that all of Nursery children have been settling into the new term at Michael Faraday School. This is an important time for most of the children as they are progressing from being part-time pupils to fullt-time. We have spent the first few days familiarising all of the children with the school routine. Lunchtimes seem to be going incredibly well – all the children are happy with the extra hours!
It is also something of a change for the parents as well. To help make this transition as smooth as possible, we will shortly being announcing details of the Open Wednesday sessions that we will be running again. This is for any parents or carers of Nursery children who want to spend either a morning or afternoon in the Nursery on a Wednesday to help their child with the transition period.
Work wise and we have also been making great progress during the first few weeks of the new term. The children will be reading many different books based around animals. A Walk in the Jungle will feature heavily. We are hopeful of working with the ICT team in the school to set up a very special tech project based on this book.
A great start to the new term!
