Our school contribution to Comic Relief this year was to stage a grand Michael Faraday cake stall. We encouraged pupils and parents bake a cake at home, and then bring the finished goods in for a cake stall that we staged at the end of one afternoon.
We weren’t disappointed by the results! The school became a tempting place to be for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love of cakes. The variety of cakes that were on display could have filled an entire cake shop.
We invited pupils to help sell the cakes on each stall. This was a good opportunity for us to use our counting and money handling skills. Plus some rather convincing sales techniques could be seen as well.
The Michael Faraday cake stall was a tremendous success. Many thanks to all of the parents and carers who were able to contribute to Comic Relief.
