Year 4 are incredibly proud of the model spitfire planes that we have built. Having learnt about the Battle of Britain and the Blitz spirit during World War 2, we decided to use our D & T time to design and build some replica spitfires. We used mainly cardboard as a material, and then painted the planes in the authentic colours used during WW2.
Our literacy work will soon start to consider the remarkable character of Edward Tulane – a china rabbit who goes on many great adventures. Edward finds himself overboard on an old liner ship – this is just the start of the journey that he is about to begin…
We are also looking forward in Year 4 to our contribution for the City of London Festival. We are incredibly proud to have been invited to represent our school at this prestigious event. The pupils will shortly be making their first trip to Bunhill Gardens in the City. Our theme for this year will be tress in a city setting. We have much work to do as we prepare for the conclusion of the event – a celebration in the heart of the City when we can showcase our work.
Finally we would like to welcome our two new class members to Year 4 at Michael Faraday. Both are setting in incredibly well and are making some new friends.
