Year 1 had a wonderful day trip out to Westbrook Bay beach to help bring the summer term to a close at Michael Faraday School. We picked the perfect weather for our seaside exploration and fun – blue skies and plenty of sun.
The day out at the beach was organised to say thank you to both classes for all of the progress that they have made with their learning throughout the year. There was still a little bit of learning to complete as we have been looking at the seaside past and present as part of our recent history work.
We were able to play many beach games on the sand at Westbrook. A number of school P.E. resources were taken on the trip. Building sandcastles was popular, as well as a supervised paddling session in the sea to help keep us all cool. Our day out concluded with ice creams ahead of the coach journey home.
