Year 3 have bee inspired by their recent work researching Tudor portraits. We have been learning how the Tudors took the opportunity of using a portrait to put across a message about their own life. The scenery often included their favourite activities or locations.
We built upon the idea of passing on some personal information in a portrait with our own artwork. We asked each class member to think of a favourite memory, location or activity. The aim was to create a painting that was unique to each class member, and one which explained a little more about their personality.
