Year 6 are coming towards the end of their research and experimentation involving micro-organisms. The pupils have now started to think about how they would like to present and share all of the knowledge and learning that they have gained. We have decided on the approach of a non-chronological report.
This is a style of writing that helps us to assemble all of the facts in a sequence that doesn’t necessarily follow a timeline. The advantage is that we can order the information and make decisions about we believe to be the information worth sharing.
We have encouraged Year 6 to also combine other disciplines. A large part of our micro-organism work has involved a historical study of scientists who have made a significant contribution.
