Class Teacher

Michael Faraday School governors are looking for a creative and talented class teacher to join our outstanding and supportive staff team from September 2014. We are well resourced and have a state of the art building set in extensive landscaped grounds.

We believe our wonderful children deserve the best and we are committed to providing an education that develops them as confident, motivated, independent and successful learners.

The year group and key stage are flexible and will be based upon the successful candidate’s expertise.

Facilities Manager

Dates: Closing date: 14th April, flexible starting date

Salary: Grade 7/8 dependent upon skills and experience

Employer: Michael Faraday School

Location: Southwark

Contract Type: Full time

Our Facilities Manager is retiring after 16 years of loyal service and we are looking to replace him with someone who has the necessary IT, technical and management skills to maintain our state of the art, 3 year old building.

Michael Faraday is a happy and outstanding 2 form entry primary school on a large site in Walworth where relationships are excellent and children thrive. The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, competent, committed and reliable person to join our staff team.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in building and/or premises management

• Good ICT and technical skills

• Extensive knowledge of building regulations

• Relevant training and qualifications in health and safety

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

• The ability to effectively manage people

• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines

• A positive and proactive approach to all aspects of their role

Diary Dates

20 March – Phonics workshop for Reception parents, 3pm – 4:15pm

25 March – Year 1 trip to the Centre for Wildlife Gardening.

26 March – school photographer visiting all year groups.

4 April – last day of teaching for the spring term.

22 April – INSET Day – School closed.

23 April – first day of teaching for the summer term.
