Nursery Winter Celebration Rehearsals

The Nursery children have been busy preparing ahead of the special Nursery Winter Celebration. We are inviting parents and carers of the Nursery children into the school on the 9th and 11th December to share some of the seasonal work that we have learning during the second half of the autumn term.

The overall theme for the short performance will be happy families and happy trees. The children have been looking at tree growth with a recent leaf hunt organised around Burgess park. We have made the connection with our own family trees and the relationships with others in our larger family.

The Nursery Winter Celebration will feature plenty of songs and performances. The children will start off by acting out an Ancient Greek poem called The Moon. A Father Christmas song will then be sung. The Nursery children have been learning some special actions to show during the singing.

An English and Mandarin version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star will also be performed. Our very special visitor Yi Kai has been helping the children with the Mandarin words.

The teaching staff will be able to share some of the written work that the children have produced during the two Celebration events. Both of the performances start in the Michael Faraday Nursery at 2:15pm on the 9th and 11th of December.
